About RVC City

The volleyball scene in Philadelphia continues to grow, yet opportunities for athletes to experience club volleyball, especially within the city, remain limited. RVC City was created to meet that need.

 

RVC City is designed for players who are new to club volleyball as well as those looking for consistent training and competitive play without leaving Center City. Our teams provide an accessible entry point into the club volleyball experience while maintaining a strong focus on skill development, teamwork, and love of the game.

 

We deeply believe in the power of sports to create a sense of belonging, build community, and teach young people essential lessons about collaboration, resilience, and empowerment both on and off the court. In order for athletes to take risks, push themselves, and grow, they must first feel safe and supported. Our coaches intentionally foster community and mutual respect among teammates so athletes feel confident trying new skills and challenging themselves. Practices are joyful and fun, while also being engaging, purposeful, and appropriately challenging.

 

Our program is led by a diverse coaching staff who bring a broad range of experience and perspectives. We value diversity among our players and recognize the importance of coaches serving as mirrors for athletes helping them feel seen, represented, and supported. At RVC City, we are committed to creating inclusive environments where athletes can grow as players and as people within a connected and supportive volleyball community.
