Steven Lieber

Steven Lieber brings over 20 years of coaching experience at the high school, club, and collegiate levels. Alongside being co-director of RVC, he is excited to lead the Merion Mercy Volleyball program for the 2024-2025 season.

A Philadelphia native, Steven played in the Public League and later worked with the Penn State Women’s Volleyball program while attending college. Most recently, he served as Assistant Director and Recruiting Coordinator at East Coast Power Volleyball, where he helped athletes grow on the court and navigate the college recruiting process.

Steve’s coaching style is rooted in cultivating effort and hard work, technique, and developing a strong team culture. He strives to bring a sense of community and competition to the club volleyball scene and work with players to be the best at any level they strive to compete. The core of Steve’s coaching approach is playing with intention.

Outside of coaching, Steve spends time with his wife Emily, two sons (Jonathan and Ethan), and two dogs (Frosty and Penny). He loves playing board games and golfing with his kids.
