Stasia Sumpaopol

Stasia brings over 19 years of combined playing and coaching experience to the court. An alumna of Villa Maria Academy, she played under Joe Boland and helped lead her team to a second-place finish in the Pennsylvania state finals her senior season. She went on to compete at the collegiate level as a right side and defensive specialist at Division I Loyola University Maryland, graduating in 2010. During her junior year, she traveled with USA Athletes International, playing in Germany and the Netherlands.

Stasia began her coaching journey with TCA Volleyball Club in Baltimore while still in college, later coaching for Valley Forge Volleyball Club and Philadelphia Volleyball Academy. After a brief pause to focus on teaching and motherhood, she spent the past eight years building and growing the middle school volleyball program at The Philadelphia School, where she also teaches middle school science.

In 2023, Stasia launched the Philadelphia division of East Coast Power Volleyball in Center City and has spent the last two years establishing and expanding its presence. She is passionate about creating a healthy, inclusive, and supportive environment for players of all skill levels. Anastasia deeply believes in the power of sports to provide belonging, build community, and teach young people essential lessons about collaboration, resilience, and empowerment both on and off the court.

She is the proud mom of three and brings her dedication to education and youth development to every aspect of her coaching.
